I had an amazing time at WizardWorld Philadelphia this past weekend and was able to meet many amazing people! As a result, we have another installment of 'How would you write Redemption!'

As always, the first sentence is from the opening of my short story Redemption, the first installment of The Legacy of Ilvania. The rest is all what people who stopped by my booth at WizardWorldPhilly wrote! Check out their story below!

Jae huddled in the corner of the damp cell, trembling as much from the penetrating cold as the stabbing pain consuming his body. He wondered what had happened and how he had ended up here, close to freezing, miserable and with a throbbing ache in his temples. He sorted through his last memories, which came in ragged bits and pieces, flashes of his life up to this point.

How did it come to this? his thoughts asked him. The bitter cold prevented him from answering.

A sound came from down the hallway. A man, or woman, or some creature in the darkness. Maybe all three. A shadow cast upon the walls and was gone with a blink of the eye. The two beams of light up ahead formed an 'x' as footsteps frantically ran in the distance.

Then nothing.

The darkness crept back and all he could hear was the pounding of his own heart. Then he farted. The sound echoed from the dank walls and suddenly a deep laughter cam from a dark corner of the hall in front of him. Jae looked at where the laugh cam from, his eyes wide and his face bright red with embarrassment.
